Ready for ObamaCare cost?

When Medicare was adopted in 1966, the taxpayers were told by the House Ways and Means Committee that Medicare would cost about $3 billion.

Well, Medicare was adopted. What’s the actual cost?

In 2009, Medicare cost an astounding $427 billion — not “just” $3 billion!

As ObamaCare faces a showdown in Congress this week, there are estimates that if it is adopted, ObamaCare will cost a trillion dollars — plus!

With our annual federal government budgets already running more than a trillion dollars in the red, and with taxes already too high, do you want to add a trillion-dollar-plus burden on the American people for ObamaCare?

But would ObamaCare cost far more than that? Consider how Medicare costs ballooned from $3 billion to $427 billion.

We should be wary of a possible trillion-dollar-plus cost of ObamaCare. But what if ObamaCare is adopted — and then the actual ObamaCare cost follows the Medicare cost experience?

Do we want government to devour half of our national economy?

Social Security is going broke, having promised to pay out more than taxes are providing. There have been similar painful financial experiences with many federal programs. But once adopted, there rarely is any “turning back.”

Will the cost of ObamaCare make us “sick” instead of being a “cure-all”?

In health — and in finances — “prevention” of ills is far better than trying to deal with failure.

ObamaCare should be rejected — this week — or the resulting cost could be disastrous.
