As our national debt rises …

With the U.S. national debt having passed a shocking $12.3 trillion, Congress had raised the obviously non-limiting “debt limit” to $14.3 trillion.

President Barack Obama wants a “bipartisan commission” to study “what to do” about our federal government’s huge, irresponsible overspending.

But we don’t need a new “commission.” It might just turn out to be a political device to “share the blame” among Democrats and Republicans to promote some tax increases.

What we need is an exercise of responsibility by our members of Congress and the president to cut unconstitutional and unnecessary spending.

Nearly half a trillion dollars — yes, half a trillion — from your taxes are going just to pay interest each year on the growing debt, some of it held by Communist China!

What will it take to apply common sense to federal spending?
