Just in time for spring cleaning, the City of East Ridge’s sanitation department has opened its brush center to the public. The center will accept household trash, garbage, bulk items and brush. Citizens also may purchase mulch at the center. The East Ridge brush center is located at 905 Yale St. and will be open from 7 a.m.- 3 p.m. Fridays and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays. The center will charge a small fee for disposal of items brought to the center, which will be assessed by the attendant at the site based upon size and amount of waste. “We encourage all citizens of East Ridge to help beautify our community, and that begins at home,” said Director of City Services Freida Wheeler.
