Brad Jackson has resigned as East Ridge wrestling coach.
After having spent 16 years with the school’s wrestling program, Jackson is moving to year-old East Hamilton High School to serve as an assistant principal. He will be in charge of discipline and athletics.
“It was a tough decision and it will be really tough not being called ‘Coach’ any more,” Jackson said. “I am not sure who will replace me at East Ridge but I am sure that the new principal, Zach Brown, will find a replacement that will keep this program as one of the premier wrestling programs in the state. I am proud to leave with a surplus in the budget and a brand-new wrestling mat.”
