Three visual artists – all avid readers – are paying tribute to books in print, an art form they bemoan is becoming a lost art during their lifetime.

The River Gallery’s December exhibit combines Jodi Harvey-Brown, Judith Paul and Emily Shane, each of whom creates art utilizing book covers and pages, but in distinctly separate styles. Together, their work becomes an expressive homage to the printed word, combining the visual and written art forms.

“Books pull you into a world while art lets you see it,” explains Harvey-Brown.
