The initial reports were very sketchy, but the one inescapable fact was shocking and horrible: Two men entered a home in Hixson and shot a 21-year-old man to death.
Most of us assume we may have safety in our homes, that “a man’s home is his castle.” But for an initially uncertain motive, the incident Thursday resulted in the taking of a young victim’s most precious possession: his life.
It is urgently hoped that investigators will be able to unravel the details, identify the killers and bring them to justice.
It is alarming to us all when violence deprives someone of life in any circumstances.
