Dorothy RaderRader heads American Water section
Dorothy Rader has been named the chair of the KY/TN Section American Water Works Association and will serve in this role through July 2016. She is the water quality and environmental compliance supervisor for Tennessee American Water where she is responsible for overseeing the water quality and cross-connection control staff.
Rader has been an active member of AWWA for more than 16 years and has served in various leadership roles in the organization that represents water professionals across the country. She launched her water treatment career in 1998. Before joining Tennessee American Water, she worked for the City of Alcoa water system and the Hallsdale Powell Utility District.
She holds Water Plant IV Operator license, Distribution System II Operator license and Backflow Prevention Assembly Testing certification from the state of Tennessee, and has a degree in chemical and environmental engineering technology.
Russak opens CruiseOne franchise
Valerie RussakValerie Russak has become a certified Cruise One vacation specialist in Hixson. She joins the nation’s leading home-based travel agent franchise network.
“My goal is to take the customer’s desires and create the best vacation experience for them at the best value,” said Russak, CruiseOne vacation franchise owner.
To complete the certification program, Russak participated in in-depth training and workshops including sales and marketing seminars; product briefings by major cruise lines; hands-on computer systems orientation introducing new agents to CruiseControl, a proprietary customer relationship manager, sales reporting and reservation system; and onboard ship inspections at the state-of-the-art CruiseOne training center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
