Come on, Democrats; get real about Clinton
I turned on the television and was finally glad to hear a prominent Democrat call Bill Clinton out on his treatment of women.
“It now seems very clear that this isn’t an isolated incident. It’s one of countless examples of how he has treated women his whole life. And I have to tell you as I listen to all this, I feel it so personally.”
Uhhhh, never mind. My wife just informed me that Michelle Obama was speaking about Donald Trump. I guess that’s what you call selective outrage.

Opinion article mixes immigrants
There’s a word that matters a lot when talking about immigration. That word is “illegal.”
It’s not in the headline of a recent Free Press editorial. It’s also not in three out of the four statistics from the Census Bureau used to paint illegal immigrants as contributing to the “taking of American jobs, increasing of costs to local governments and an increase of children living in poverty,” despite the millions of legal immigrants working, paying taxes, and contributing to our communities like their native-born neighbors.
The problem with omitting the word “illegal” is that it muddles definitions. It lumps everyone born outside our borders into a single category. Whether they entered legally or not, they are painted with the same broad brush. And it doesn’t mention the report from the Institute on Taxation & Economic Policy that finds even illegal immigrants contribute, on average, more than $11 billion in tax revenue annually.
The opinion piece argues that something called “Big Media” only reports facts that support a predetermined narrative, yet the piece mortars the foundation of the argument with half-truths and misdirection, using statistics about legal and illegal immigration. Arguments – and walls – so shoddily constructed quickly crumble.

Voters, we put Trump and Clinton at the top
I’ve read about how bad Trump and Clinton are. The people who are truly responsible for this horrible election cycle are the voters. We put these people in the position they are in today.
For those who attack Hillary to defend Donald, look at who he is. He was born with the proverbial silver spoon in his mouth. Through his business expertise, he turned that silver to gold often by taking advantage of people, investors, employees and contractors. He has no respect for anyone he considers to be beneath him. That encompasses almost all of us.
For those who attack Donald to defend Hillary, consider this. As a veteran who was entrusted with top-secret security clearance, I think Hillary’s announcement that none of her classified information was compromised is unimpressive. She gave access to people who had no security clearance. She has no respect, not only for the security of our military and our nation, but for anyone she considers to be beneath her. My friends, that encompasses almost all of us.
One will be president. Vote. Pray that God forgives us for what we’ve done to this great nation.
