The preliminary hearing in Hamilton County General Sessions Court for Brandon Eugene Russell has been moved to Feb. 22.
Russell was arrested days after a cleaning lady found the body of Meco Siler in a local hotel.
Police charged Russell with felony murder in connection with her death.
