We have been “in” Afghanistan so long that many Americans probably have forgotten why we are there.
And many more surely wonder “when” and “how” we’ll get “out.”
We got into Afghanistan on Oct. 7, 2001 – in response to the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States in Washington and New York City.
American forces have been heavily involved – with terrible casualties, and no end in sight.
Now Vice President Joe Biden has given us an idea – maybe – as to when we can get out!
