WSB-TV in Atlanta reported early this morning that University of Georgia president Michael Adams has asked for and received the resignation of athletic director Damon Evans. The television station cited a source close to Georgia’s athletic department and added that the official announcement will be Monday.
Evans, 40, was arrested late Wednesday night in Atlanta on a DUI charge. The husband and father of two had the panties of passenger Courtney Fuhrmann with him when he was approached by the arresting Georgia State Patrol officer.
