Cooper’s Eye on the Left: Her $37 million honor

Her $37 million honor

A new entrance to the State Department in Washington, D.C., has been named for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and, ironically, it has a glass ceiling.

The $37 million Hillary Clinton Pavilion, money for which was raised in part – appropriately for Clinton – from foreign donors, evidently was planned to have a glass ceiling to go along with the glass ceiling Clinton was assuredly set to break in becoming the first woman president of the United States. But a funny thing happened on the way to entrance dedication last week. She lost the election.

Four of the donors, according to columnist Dick Morris, were the oppressive Middle East governments Brunei, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. All four have close ties to the Clinton Foundation as well as matters that come before the State Department. Other corporations which made large donations to the entrance also donated to the Clinton Foundation.

Allegations of pay-for-play with foreign countries and the Clinton Foundation were one of the reasons voters didn’t trust Clinton and voted instead for Donald Trump.
