Drowning tileA Cumberland County, Tenn., man is dead after drowning in the Lake Park Community, Cumberland County Chief Investigator Casey Cox reports.
Rescue units discovered the body of Aaron Kirkland at 8 p.m. CDT on Sunday 15 feet from a dock in water 14 feet deep. Witnesses told emergency officers that Kirkland was swimming across Community Lake when he began to appear exhausted, swinging his arms and calling for help.
He was transported to Cumberland Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
