Around 3:45 p.m., the bus driver parked the vehicle on the side of the road at the intersection of Brow Road and New Home Loop because of a “behavioral issue” among two students, Harris said. When the driver got out of his seat, the bus rolled into a ditch.
Georgia State Patrol responded to the scene, as did paramedics and EMTs. Harris said the students safely exited the bus. Some complained of small injuries, such as hurt ankles.
She said 43 students were on the bus.
