When a bride makes an appointment, she gets the store all to herself. Women who shop at traditional boutiques may be overshadowed by other customers, but at All About the Bride, each bride gets all the individual attention she deserves without all the pressure and chaos, says owner Jenifer Amato.

* Extra touches: The bride and her accompanying guests receive complimentary Champagne, fresh-baked cookies and other refreshments during their visit. They are also encouraged to play their own music over the sound system, and enjoy the experience to the fullest.

* The dress(es): Amato, who has a background in fashion design and marketing, provides a generous selection of gowns and veils by designers Justin Alexander and Erica Koesler. “I was very particular in my designer choices,” Amato said. “This is the most self-expressive outfits [a woman] will purchase in her whole life.”

* Prices: Gown prices range from $1,000-$3,200, with most dresses costing around $1,200.

* Hours: There are no set hours of business. Suggested appointment times are available to choose from online, but any time will be accommodated as long as no other appointments overlap.
