A South Pittsburg, Tenn., man with Alzheimer’s disease who went missing late Friday night was found safely after an all-night search.
Fire Chief Jodi Rollins said James “Sonny” Guinn, 80, left his home on Elm Avenue sometime after midnight. Police and firefighters along with volunteers and even a helicopter searched most of the night. Searchers finally found him just four blocks from his home, walking alone in an alley and unharmed, Rollins said.
This is not the first time Guinn has left his home unexpectedly. He is originally from Stevenson, Ala., and often tells people that he wants to go back home, officials said.
