Their very own stimulus books

The $862 billion federal “stimulus” hasn’t lived up to its employment expectations, but in some Nebraska schools it paid for a bizarre book on “cultural sensitivity” for every teacher, principal and janitor. Omaha Public Schools spent more than $130,000 in stimulus funds to buy the book for all 8,000 of its employees.

The book is “The Cultural Proficiency Journey: Moving Beyond Ethical Barriers Toward Profound School Change.” It says U.S. institutions and government “channel wealth and power to white people” and that only those who recognize that “white privilege” pervades U.S. society are “culturally proficient.” Those who aren’t “proficient” are asked “to align yourself with the values expressed,” the Omaha World-Herald reported.

How many jobs will be created by the spending of so much stimulus money on such questionable material is a bit of a mystery.
