MOBILE, Ala. – Authorities in Mobile say a 7-year-old girl is safe after being found inside a home where two adults died in an apparent murder-suicide.
Police got a call about gunshots being fired inside a house in a neighborhood on Monday morning. Emergency responders then heard a shot as they arrived at the home.
Officers dressed in tactical gear entered the house and found a man and a woman dead or dying from bullet wounds.
Authorities also found the girl unharmed inside the house.
Officials say it appears one of the adults killed the other and then committed suicide. The names of the dead haven’t been released, and the relationship between the child and the adults isn’t known.
