Dade County’s Andrew Houts and Travis Core will represent the northwest Georgia area in next week’s Georgia Athletic Coaches Association basketball all-star games at Savannah State.
Houts, who averaged 27 points this season, will participate in the senior game Sunday. Core, who averaged 23 points, will compete in Saturday’s junior game.
“I’ve been in this business 33 years and I’ve had one kid make an all-star game, and now I have two in one year,” Dade coach Glen Hicks said. “I guess it helps to have good players. Those two deserve any honor they can get.”
