National Weather Service radar shows a band of thundershowers is passing through Hamilton County headed southwest into Bradley and Polk counties bringing lightning and heavy rain.
The storms have intensified over the last 20 to 30 minutes, radar shows, although most of the precipitation is well to the north of the Chattanooga area.
