* What: This charming Brainerd cafe is celebrating its 10th year in business with a variety of discounts, prize drawings and special events this week. In addition to old favorites, you can feast on selections from the new menu, which includes such temptations as the Mango Salad With Spinach Bread Pudding. The chopped mango salad tops a bed of baby greens and black beans, with diced fresh tomatoes and a spinach bread pudding added before the plate is drizzled with a spicy garlic aioli. “The bread puddings were a great idea for something different using a lot of our staples and the crusts of our breads,” said owner Peggy Roselle. “Everyone does sweet bread puddings, but I don’t know of anyone else who does savory bread pudding. The response from the customers has been overwhelmingly positive. I am told it is the perfect blend of spicy and sweet, a refreshing combination of flavors.”
