A Powerful Purpose
This weekend, a group of local retirees will gather for dinner. None of them have ever met before, but they all share something in common. It’s not that they’ve given up the 9-to-5, but, rather, that they haven’t. At least not totally.
Last month, I had the pleasure of sitting down with seven local retirees who haven’t slowed down one bit, using their newfound free time as a chance to reinvent themselves – from a medical systems company owner turned vintage car racer and broker, to a longtime educator turned school board member. And this Friday, they will all sit down together to share their stories with their fellow featured “retirees.”
My big takeaway? Life is about purpose, and there are many ways to find that, but one of the most sure paths is service.
