Some random thoughts and notes I’ve been collecting:
Over the years, the Riverbend Festival has provided a great deal of entertainment. In addition to bringing to town some really good acts, it has, perhaps unintentionally, offered some laughs. Riverbend Bingo, for example, is always good for a chuckle.
But probably the most fun, nonperformance aspects are the various reactions people have to the lineup. Some are as predictable as sunrises and sunsets and as clever as jokes about cafeteria food.
Barry CourterSome will love it and some will hate it no matter who the announced acts are, and a few will feel the need to share the always classic, “I’ve never been, it’s terrible.”
For what it’s worth, this is a far better than usual lineup.
