* Tribute to Western music, stories and poetry at Southern Adventist University on Sunday
The Dismembered Tennesseans will join host Bill McCallie and his band, In Cahoots, on Sunday for the 17th annual “Cowboy Jubilee” live radio show in Collegedale.
“Cowboy Jubilee,” which airs each week, is a tribute to Western music, stories and poetry.
The live show will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Ackerman Auditorium on the campus of Southern Adventist University, 5061 Industrial Drive. The radio show will be broadcast in its regular time slot, 6-7 p.m., on WSMC-FM 90.5.
Standing-room-only crowds are not unusual for the concert inside the 258-seat auditorium, according to McCallie.
Refreshments will be served after the show, including cat-head biscuits by McCallie’s radio sidekick, Cactus Jack. Door prizes will be awarded.
Admission is free. For more information, call the station at 236-2905.
