Good morning, Chattanooga!
From Usher to Kane Brown and Bessie Smith, the Chattanooga area has its fair share of homegrown musical talent.
Adding to the list, this weekend, Chattanooga native Amythyst Kiah is playing at the Moon River Festival. And she credits her parents and her transfer as a teen to Chattanooga High School Center for Creative Arts for two important things in her life – her music and for finally finding a place where she fit in.
“It was where I felt wanted and everybody was like me. All the weird kids were there,” she said.
