KING DIGGY. “Ill Hustle: the Street Hustle.” K.O.C. Records.
Local rapper Lebron “King Diggy” Norwood has released a 20-song CD full of hardcore, hard-hitting raps recorded here in town.
It’s an impressive collection of original beats, samples, loops and lyrics and I especially liked Norwood’s smooth style and delivery. The raps deal with life in general and life in Diggy’s world.
The first single, “Where Dey Do Dat @,” has an accompanying video that was shot on the South side.
Some will take issue with some of the language, especially the use of certain derogatory words. The CD would have been stronger without them as it is an otherwise entertaining CD.
