Moore rips USGA

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. — Ryan Moore has accepted three championship trophies from the United States Golf Association in his life.

But he may not be getting a Christmas card from the USGA any time soon.

The 27-year-old ripped the USGA for its setup of Pebble Beach for the U.S. Open and the condition of the poa annua greens. He even said he’d consider skipping future U.S. Opens.

“I don’t know what they’re looking for as far as what it takes to win one of these,” Moore said. “Half of the greens are green and half of them are brown, so you can get a 5-foot bounce or a 25-foot bounce. It’s just luck.

“These are my opinions.”
