A suspect is in custody after a police chase that lasted one hour ended in Hamilton County near the Mountain Shadows community in East Brainerd with the suspect captured.
The pursuit started after a Chevron gas station clerk was stabbed several times in Monteagle.
Officials pursued the man in Marion County before the chase ended up in Hamilton County where the suspect was caught.
Hamilton County deputies assisted Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies in the pursuit.
The gas station clerk was transported to a local hospital. His condition is unknown.
