Where is Tea Party in tax proposal?
Every day, the newspaper carries three or four pages of foreclosures on homes and businesses. Real estate transfers, formerly at least half a page each week, are now about 15 or 20 items. Many businesses have laid off or cut back on employee hours.
Social Security recipients get no raise but premiums and deductibles have risen. Health care costs have soared and gasoline and utility costs are up.
Mayor Ron Littlefield wants a big increase in taxes to pay for things like annexation, an extension to the Riverwalk that is costing millions in maintenance and security, corporate welfare, nonprofits, public-private nonsense. The rubber stamp council will go along with the mayor.
The Tennessee Constitution, Article I, Sections 1 and 2, gives citizens the right to oust such people in “any manner they may see fit.” If you allow this atrocity to continue, you are as guilty as the perpetrators.
Where is the Tea Party?

If ‘rich’ disappear, then jobs will go
It seems to me if we continue to levy more taxes on the “rich” and “big corporations,” then soon the “rich” won’t be “rich” and “big corporations” won’t be “Big C’s” anymore. Who’s going to provide “we the people” jobs?
The “middle class” got a tax break in IRS filings. Some see it. Some don’t. But we’ve been told. What’s not told is when it’s politically expedient, taxes will hit the “rich,” the “Big C’s” and the “middle” when January 2011 comes. Soon a federal “jobs program” will be announced to ease the people’s minds prior to November elections. Folks will slide into a false security as network news reports federal numbers improving in unemployment, housing, etc.
Don’t fret. Our Great Uncle is hiring again soon. There’s been an influx of new federal jobs over the years. Many working for “we the people” draw incomes greater than most of you. How’s it going to work when private sector jobs disappear along with their taxes? Will we get a nice federally funded, benefit-packaged job?
If the “rich” and “Big C’s” thrive, America thrives. Countries decline with federal programs and taxes. Don’t be blind come January.

The message: No new taxes
Have (our officials) still not gotten the message: no new taxes!
They say taxes haven’t been raised since 2001; however, our properly has been reassessed three times since then, thereby raising our taxes three times.
The only way these people listen is at the polls.
On election day, remember (our officials) and send them home, to pay these taxes.
