The Tennessee football program picked up a commitment over the weekend from Jalin Hyatt, a 6-foot, 172-pound receiver from Dutch Fork, S.C.

Hyatt – who was on campus this weekend for a recruiting trip – became the 13th player in the 2020 recruiting cycle to give a non-binding pledge to the Volunteers, choosing Tennessee over Virginia Tech, Arkansas, Duke and Miami, among others.

Timed at 4.3 seconds in the 40-yard dash, Hyatt is rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports.com and is a composite three-star by the recruiting service, which factors in the rankings of both ESPN and Rivals. As a junior he caught 71 passes for 1,316 yards and 21 touchdowns. A year earlier he caught 43 passes for 947 yards and 10 more scores.
