Bare Bones Barkacue, a barbecue and silent auction benefiting McKamay Animal Care and Adoption Center, is scheduled 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday inside Waterhouse Pavilion at Miller Plaza, corner of M.L. King Boulevard and Market Street.
Three establishments are supplying food for the evening: appetizers by Lee Towery Catering; barbecue and fixings from Sugar’s Ribs; and desserts, beer and other beverages from Market Street Tavern.
Entertainer Bill Lefton will set the mood with easy-listening music.
“A great silent auction will provide the evening’s entertainment, along with a few furry friends,” said Sonia Young, event chairman.
Auction items include limited-edition art prints, jewelry, clothing, animal art and accessories, and gift certificates from area restaurants and attractions.
Tickets are $50. They may be purchased online at McKameyAnimal Center.org; at Bone Appetit, 103 Frazier Ave.; Lexus of Chattanooga, 5800 Lee Highway: or by calling 305-6500.
