Chattanooga police have arrested two cousins in connection with a string of business robberies.
Witness descriptions of two vehicles, a maroon PT Cruiser and a Dodge Charger, led to the arrests of Steven Hughley Jr., 18, and Christopher Coleman, 21, Sgt. Jerri Weary, spokeswoman for Chattanooga police, said at a Wednesday news conference.
The two are suspects in a string of robberies at Taco Bells on Highway 153 and Hixson Pike, a Zaxby’s on Shallowford Road and two Cash Express locations on East Brainerd Road, Sgt. Weary said. The robberies took place between June 17 and Wednesday, she said.
Mr. Hughley is being held on two charges of aggravated robbery and a $50,000 bond; Mr. Coleman is being held on five charges of aggravated robbery and a $150,000 bond, officials said.
Detective Jacques Weary, who worked on the case, said the robberies were similar in execution.
