Chattanooga: Arrest nets stolen items from previous robbery

The search of a robbery suspect’s home revealed stolen property from a week-old burglary, police say.

Police spotted Ricky L. Davis “rattling doors” at a house on Dartmouth Street last night and, after his arrest, executed a search warrant on his Fifth Avenue home, according to a police release.

Several items reported stolen from 304 Tremont St. were recovered and police charged Mr. Davis with aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, theft over $1,000 and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Mr. Davis had recently been released from prison after serving a sentence “stemming from other robberies committed in the North Chattanooga area,” according to the release.

Police say they expect additional charges in this case.
