With Volkswagen having chosen Chattanooga for its billion-dollar local plant, which will involve about 2,000 people making thousands of fine VW cars, there is much excitement in Chattanooga about every bit of VW “news.”
VW reportedly has assembled a few “samples” of the new midsize vehicles that will be rolling off local production lines next year at Enterprise South Industrial Park. So naturally, photos that have “leaked” have attracted lots of curiosity and attention, with VW understandably “not confirming” anything yet.
There is lots of wholesome “suspense” about the whole Volkswagen enterprise and its plans, as the hiring of local employees and the development of several local supplier companies are helping move things toward eventual production.
It’s a pleasant situation for Chattanoogans to watch and encourage.
