‘Warped’ reporting frustrates reader
I have been a reader of this paper for 48 years. I cannot believe the partisan, biased reporting of recent actions taken by law enforcement in local protest situations. Has the TFP hired an ex-CNN or maybe MSNBC copywriter?
How can one find fault with sheriff’s deputies using nonlethal tear gas to rescue one of their own who has been pulled into an unruly crowd? It was the only right thing to do whether it was an officer or not. Then, how does one find fault with using force to take into custody an individual who’s carrying an assault rifle with lots of ammunition to a “peaceful” protest? I can’t even imagine the headline if somehow it was learned the police had advance information he was coming with the firearm, did nothing, and he had actually used it on protesters and police.
This type of reporting is biased and meant to inflame. There’s no other obvious reason for it.
