Keithen Edward Eckart / Photo provided by the Hamilton County District Attorney’s OfficeA man pleaded guilty to child rape in Hamilton County Criminal Court on Friday, according to a news release from the Hamilton County District Attorney’s Office.
Keithen Edward Eckart, 38, waived his right to a trial by jury and pleaded guilty to three counts of rape of a child. He was arrested in September and confessed to unlawful sexual contact with juveniles under 13 years of age.
The incidents occurred as far back as 2019, with the most recent in September of this year, according to Assistant District Attorney Addie Nester.
Judge Don Poole approved the plea agreement. Eckart has been sentenced to serve 30 years in the Tennessee Department of Corrections, the release states.
