ChevelleAlternative metal band Chevelle will roll into Chattanooga on Tuesday, Aug. 19, as part of a five-week tour in support of new album “La Gargola.” Said to be inspired by the “dark underbelly of American culture,” the moody and eerie-sounding, horror-esque LP has been praised as “a sonic reinvention for the group” (Last.FM), “something of a renaissance” (iTunes) and “their tightest work” (AllMusic). Kyng and Dayshell also are featured in this 18-and-older show (ID required) at Track 29, 1400 Market St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and music starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $28 in advance, $30 day.
