Cameron Legge, Annalee Thompson and Rachel Young, from left, are among the young actors in the Youth Theatre production of “Go, Dog. Go!,” playing the next two weekends at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre, 400 River St.
Directed by Chuck Tuttle, “Go, Dog. Go!” tells the story of black dogs, white dogs, small dogs and big dogs that skate, drive cars and ride scooters on their way to a party in the top of a tree. Based on a learn-to-read book written by P.D. Eastman (and edited by Dr. Seuss), the musical comedy by Steven Dietz and Allison Gregory is light on dialogue and heavy on action, ideal for kids in prekindergarten to second grade — and anyone who loves slapstick humor. Performances start at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21 and 28, and at 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 22-23 and March 1-2. Tickets are $10 for all ages. They may be purchased online at www.TheatreCentre.com or by calling 423-267-8534 (box office open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday).
