Game two of the Southern League’s North Division playoff series between Chattanooga and Montgomery was rained out Friday night at AT&T Field.
The Lookouts and Biscuits will play game two tonight at AT&T, with first pitch scheduled for 7:15 and fireworks set to follow the contest. Chattanooga won Thursday night’s best-of-five opener, 4-3, on Max Kepler’s two-run single to right field with two outs in the ninth inning.
Lookouts officials delayed the start of Friday’s game and covered the field with their protective tarp. When the storm arrived, high winds quickly blew the tarp toward the visiting dugout.
“As soon as the tarp came off, we had no chance,” Lookouts media relations manager Dan Kopf said.
Jason Wheeler (4-3, 3.92 ERA) is scheduled to start game two for the Lookouts, with Jacob Faria (7-3, 2.51) scheduled for the Biscuits. Game three will take place Sunday in Montgomery, with games four and five scheduled there as well if necessary.
