A vehicle crashed into a train at the railroad crossing on Reavley Road in Sale Creek, killing the vehicle’s driver, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
A news release said the driver was alone in the vehicle.
Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office traffic investigators are on the scene, spokesman Matt Lea said in the release.
The accident has caused at least two road closings. The first road closed is the immediate portion of Reavley Road near the railroad crossing, particularly the portion that runs from Dayton Pike. The second road closed is Railroad Street between Reavley Road and Leggett Road. It is unclear when the roads will be reopened, Lea said.
He said the victim’s family has not yet been notified and more information will be available later.
