Don’t let leaders take away freedom
Obama, Pelosi and Reed are creating the largest and most controlling government in our history. They are doing this without the will of the people.
They are giving themselves the power to control our medical care (which will lead to less care, higher cost and rationing); they continue to expand the control of our banks and financial businesses; and they continue to install judges who think like themselves.
They are showing themselves to be true socialists. This is not a matter of helping the weak or poor. This is setting up a government which will know everything we do with our money. They will use this expanded information to take our freedom and money so government can grow.
They are also not doing in the open with debate. Power is being stolen from us with bills that no one reads (Pelosi said we have to pass the health bill to find out what is in it) and the power is all given to the president, not to the Congress.
This is not American, and it must be stopped now. We cannot let our freedom be taken by these people.

Obama priorities are out of order
So President Obama thinks of Memorial Day weekend the same way so many Americans do. Just another three-day weekend, good for getting away from it all and maybe a little time with the barbecue grill, maybe a few brews, some entertaining and, oh yeah, squeeze in a photo op at the local National Cemetery to appease us stupid gullible patriots.
Can’t have something as unimportant as the Laying of the Wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier interfere with his promise to visit Chicago now and then. I guess we as veterans know where we and our fallen comrades stand on his list of priorities.

Where is penalty for Gulf oil leak?
After a month-plus of BP failures in stopping the Gulf oil gusher, I propose trying this: stuff it full of all the BP executives who can be rounded up.
We’ve now seen how the idiocy and greed of two, giant, politically powerful industries, big oil and big finance, have severely negatively impacted the nation’s well-being. Where are the trials? The jail terms?
In the days of Henry VIII and Louis XIV, such actions would have resulted in a host of bloody, severed heads up on pikes in public places as a dire warning to other greedy idiots to act with judgment and caution or pay the price. It seems a good policy to me.
