The Northshore Gallery of Contemporary Art will present its final show this month. “Curtain Call – Work by 13 Artists” will open with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 4. The exhibit – and the gallery – will close Saturday, Dec. 20.
In a previous statement, owner David Jones said he could no longer afford to subsidize the money-losing business.
“Curtain Call” will present the best recent work by the artists who have been central to the mission of the gallery. They are Ellyn Bivin, Alejandro Carabello, Josiah Golson, Eric Keller, Devon Kronenberg, Turry Lindstrom, James McKissic, Renel Plouffe, James Tucker, Sandra Paynter Washburn, Laura Willett, Maria Willison and Larry Young.
Gallery officials say the show is a chance to “share the work of 13 talented artists one last time.”
Northshore Gallery is at 505 Cherokee Blvd. Hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays. For more information, call 423-903-8783.
