Police apprehended a Calhoun man today charged in connection with the assault of a three-month-old infant, according to a Calhoun Police Department news release.
On Friday, detectives charged George Edward Daniel III, 25, with aggravated battery and felony cruelty to children.
Daniel was taken into custody by city officers about 4:30 p.m. today and will remain in the Gordon County Jail with bond proceedings pending.
