* What: Tradeshow displays
* Company: Dynamic Displays and Graphics
* Address: 801 N. Market St.
* Website: www.dynamicdisplays.org
* Telephone: 266-5879
* Owners: Libby and Brian Santin
* What’s special: Dyanmic Displays and Graphics brings together the hardware, graphics and marketing concepts of its customers, according to president and co-owner Libby Santin. “We link all those three things together so they end up with a product that’s very customized and specific to their particular business.”
* The origin story: Brian and Libby Santin purchased Dynamic on Dec. 31, 2008. Libby Santin said she was drawn to the company after working at a company that served as one of Dynamic’s suppliers.
* How long does it take to make: After reception of finished art from its clients, Dynamic’s projects usually take 10 business days to finish. Large (20-foot by 20-foot) displays may take 3 to 4 weeks to complete.
* Where it’s sold: Dynamic works directly with its clients through its office on North Market Street and through its website.
* How long have they been making them: Dynamic was started 17 years ago by John Langworthy, from whom the Santins purchased the company.
* Expansions planned: Dynamic is looking into expanding into the market of national clients, including franchises or customers with outlying offices that use the same marketing material and need somewhere to store their displays locally.
* Lessons of the trade: “We bought the company at probably the worst time in the economy, when banks weren’t going to loan money,” Libby Santin said, laughing. “We realized that even though those things are happening, you can’t stop planning for the future. You need to continue to invest what resources you have to expand your business even though things are slowing down for a while.”
