Other selections will include Glinka’s “Overture to Russlan and Ludmilla” and the third and fourth movements of Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Scheherazade,” considered one of the most beautiful of all orchestral compositions.

The music, inspired by the “Arabian Nights” folk tales, depicts the legendary Sultana and her attempt to stay alive by spinning nightly tales to distract her fearful husband.
