LIHUE, Hawaii (AP) – The Coast Guard has suspended the search for a Hawaii fisherman who disappeared just a few months after surviving 12 days lost at sea.

The search for Ron Ingraham was suspended Monday.

Ingraham and Kenny Corder were in a boat that ran aground Friday about 1 mile west of the island of Lanai. The Coast Guard rescued Corder a few hours after receiving a mayday call from their vessel Munchkin.

Corder told the Coast Guard that Ingraham wasn’t wearing a lifejacket and was clinging to a life ring in the water when he disappeared.

Ingraham spent 12 days lost at sea after putting out a mayday call on Thanksgiving saying he was in danger of sinking. He was found uninjured about a week after the Coast Guard suspended the search.
