GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) – Eddie Lacy had a 1-yard touchdown run on the first play of the second quarter, giving the Green Bay Packers a 14-7 lead Monday night over the Atlanta Falcons.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers set up the score with a 5-yard scramble. He recovered his own fumble at the end of the run following a hit by Atlanta’s Josh Wilson.

Defensive tackle Tyson Jackson was whistled for a late hit on Rodgers on the play. Officials had to separate players from both sides following a brief shouting match.

It was the Packers’ second rushing touchdown of the night after James Starks scored from 3 yards out on the game’s opening drive.

Atlanta countered quickly with a 4-yard TD run for Steven Jackson, and the Packers answered right back with Lacy’s run.

It was a quick start for two offenses looking to strengthen their NFC playoff hopes.

The Falcons moved the ball effectively on their nine-play, 72 yard drive capped by Jackson’s touchdown at 7:05 of the first quarter.
