The Rossville Downtown Development Authority has sold Roy’s Grill to a private contractor a month after buying the land.
Downtown Development Authority Chairman Ron Wade would only say the group had sold the grill property to a private contractor but said more information is coming this afternoon.
The city announced on Sept. 21 paid $110,000 for 1.2 acres over three lots, including the Roy’s Grill building, a few feet from the Tennessee line on U.S. 27. The city then sold the property to the DDA.
Wade said the city planned a celebration Nov. 4 to commemorate the new start for downtown.
