Soddy-Daisy resident Sherry Price is known for going all out when it comes to her two daughters’ birthday parties.
And a good party always begins with a creative invitation, she says. She’s made invites for every kind of party growing girls could want, from a makeover party with a high heel shoe-shaped invite to a masquerade which warranted a very regal and life-like golden scroll invitation.
“We thought it was a good way to set the tone. The invitation is the first glimpse,” said Price. “If [guests] open it up and like it, maybe they’ll be more likely to come.”
Now Price, who is a graphic designer by trade, is turning her affinity for unique invitations into a business, which launched in September.
She’s calling it 3ChicksCre-8, named for the collaboration between Price and her daughters, now 18 and 15.
“I can do all kinds of invitations, but I have more fun doing the things I feel are more creative,” Price said.
Through her business, she’s created invitations for everything from birthday parties to wedding and baby showers, to golf tournaments and more, including holiday parties. She also offers general graphic design services.
“I could do an invitation for any party or special event where you just want to stand out,” she said.
Price said she’d eventually like to branch out to doing wedding invitations and be even more involved with party planning, providing things like decorations and more.
