President Barack Obama got ObamaCare socialized medicine enacted by the Democrats who were in complete control of Congress until this month. Now get ready for big tax costs – and more debt.
Our good new Congressman Chuck Fleischmann estimates the cost of ObamaCare, once fully implemented over a period of years, at $2.6 trillion, adding massively to our national debt.
Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., said, “The wisest course would be to repeal the health care law and replace it with provisions that actually reduce the cost of health care so more Americans can afford to buy insurance.”
Fleischmann and other House Republicans prevailed in the House this week on a vote to repeal ObamaCare. But the still-Democrat-run Senate is highly unlikely to allow any such vote.
Given the current Senate and president, ObamaCare may well remain on the books – imposing a new burden upon the American people.
